Your pilot

Captain Raymond built this from the water up.

He founded Horizon Sun Charters in 2015 to solve one problem: how to move guests efficiently across Palawan's remote destinations.

More than three decades of flying and over 15,000 flight hours later, he still flies the Beaver himself, and he's spent ten years building the seaplane infrastructure the Philippines didn't have: the aircraft, the landing coordination, the boats and vans waiting at the other end.

“Technology can make booking easy. But first, you need the aircraft, infrastructure, partners, customers and demand to make it work.”

The aircraft

A 1957 de Havilland Beaver. The bush plane legend.

The aircraft bush pilots chose for the remote Canadian north, named one of Canada's top ten engineering achievements of the 20th century. Ours takes off and lands on Palawan's water.
